  渤商所目前已成为中国首个开展跨境人民币交易结算业务的非银行类机构,境内外企业可以通过其跨境电商平台,直接使用人民币结算来完成进出口贸易。

  Dec 17 (Reuters) - China's Bohai Commodity Exchange announced the launch of cross-border spot trading of iron ore and natural rubber in the yuan currency in Hong Kong on Tuesday, another incremental step to boost the currency's global use.
  China is promoting the international use of the "redback" in trade and investment in order to reduce reliance on U.S. dollar, and the introduction of commodities trading settled in yuan is likely to lead to yuan-denominated trade financing in the sector.
  The exchange, which is the first non-banking financial institution allowed to conduct cross-border yuan trade settlement, said it is planning to introduce more products settled in yuan.

  China's Bohai Commodity Exchange, a local government-backed online trading platform for spot commodities, plans to launch cross-border trading in yuan for natural rubber and iron ore.
  It announced the plans in Hong Kong Tuesday during a roadshow to promote the new trading system, an exchange official said in an interview Wednesday.
  In April, the exchange became China's first non-financial organization to get approval from the central government to offer yuan-based cross-border trading.

  Tianjin's Bohai Commodity Exchange, the first non-bank organisation on the mainland given permission to conduct cross-border yuan business, introduced its online platform to Hong Kong companies yesterday as its first step in going global.
  Exchange chairman Yan Dongsheng said the platform would allow Hong Kong and international investors to conduct yuan settlement and trade up to 70 products ranging from crude oil to apples. Two newly launched international products are iron ore and rubber.
